Cedar Rapids 2022 concert schedule: Big acts coming this summer

CEDAR RAPIDS — Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, for the Indigo Girls “Look Long” tour coming to the Paramount Theatre, 123 Third Ave. SE, on June 27. Show time is 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $39.50 to $75.

In their 16th studio album, “Look Long,” Amy Ray and Emily Saliers tell their origin story in an eclectic collection of songs. The folk duo chronicle their personal upbringings with more specificity and focus than they have on any previous song cycle.

Blues legend Buddy Guy also is coming to the Paramount Theatre, with a 7:30 p.m. concert June 16. Tickets are $49.50 to $95.

Coming to McGrath Amphitheatre: Lyle Lovett, Bonnie Raitt, Tenacious D and more

Big names heading to the McGrath Amphitheatre, 475 First St. SW, include Lyle Lovett and his Large Band at 7:30 p.m. July 9; Bonnie Raitt at 7 p.m. Aug. 3; and Tenacious D at 8 p.m. Sept. 20.

Lyle Lovett tickets are on sale for $32 to $96.

Mavis Staples will open for Raitt. Tickets are $42 to $92.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass paved a new path as Tenacious D, from their HBO variety series in 1999 to a platinum-selling debut album in 2001, a Grammy in 2014, an animated film in 2018 and a graphic novel in September 2020. Tickets are $46 to $122.
