The Cedar Rapids Ice Arena is presenting its first 'Zamboni Class' on Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at ice maintenance and learning how to drive the arena's Zamboni ice-resurfacing machine. Registration ends Sept. 30 and costs $65, with a T-shirt gift part of the program.
Contact the Ice Arena at 319-398-0100 to register, or e-mail M.Glackin@cricearena.com. You must be 18 years or older and own a valid drivers license.
The class will be limited to the first 20 registrants.
