Waterloo beats RoughRiders in OT, 3-2 (w/photos)

Ryan Papa scored 1:54 into overtime to give the Waterloo Black Hawks a 3-2 win over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Thanksgiving night at Waterloo's Young Arena.
Jayson Megna scored an unassisted goal midway through the first period to put the Riders (12-3-1, 25 points) on top. That extended Megna's scoring streak to 15 consecutive games.
Waterloo took the lead in the second on goals from Jamie Hill and Gunnar Hughes, but Sam Warning's goal with just under seven minutes left in the period tied it at 2-2.
Brady Hjelle took the loss in net for the RoughRiders, making 37 saves. Waterloo outshot Cedar Rapids by a 40-26 count.
The teams play again Friday night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
