Walker, Lee propel Kernels past Lake County, 4-1

EASTLAKE, Ohio - Adam Brett Walker homered twice, and Brett Lee threw his second consecutive complete game as the Cedar Rapids Kernels beat the Lake County Captains, 4-1, Friday night, completing a three-game sweep.
Walker hit his 19th and 20th home runs this season in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively. Max Kepler went 3-for-4 and Jonathan Murphy added two hits for the Kernels (59-36, 19-8 second half), who play Saturday night at Fort Wayne.
Lee (7-4) gave up just six hits, including an Eric Haase solo home run in the fifth inning. He struck out a career-high 10 and walked one.
The win allowed Cedar Rapids to take over the Midwest League lead for best record overall.
