On June 4, 1958, Billy Harrell (Cedar Rapids Indians - 1952) went 2-4 with a HR, two RBI, a walk and scored a run in the Indians 7-5 extra inning win over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Harrell homered with one runner on in the top of the 10th to give the Indians the lead.
Billy Harrell hit .231 with 8 HR and 26 RBI during his four year MLB career playing for the Indians and Red Sox.
Billy Harrell was part of the 1952 Cedar Rapids Indians team that finished in 8th with a record of 53-71 under manager Jimmy Bloodworth. Harrell hit .325 with 5 HR and 16 doubles in 55 games for Cedar Rapids that season.
