Wondering what the” K's for Kids” total is sliding into the second half of the baseball season? The Kernels pitchers have combined to strike out 677 batters for a total donation to Kid's First for $3,335. Thanks to the generous support of AEGON and our talented hurlers, kids in the community really are first!
The First Half Western Division Champions, the Cedar Rapids Kernels have crossed the plate on Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium 470 times this season to provide 470 hot plates of food for the “Meals on Wheels” program in Cedar Rapids. Thanks to the continuing commitment by CarePro Health Services, those in need of a hot meal are served each time a Kernel reaches home.
