It's an even dozen.
The San Jose Sharks recalled defenseman Matt Tennyson from the Worcester Sharks of the minor-league AHL on Sunday. He is expected to play in the team's game Monday night, becoming the 12th former member of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders to play in the NHL.
Tennyson had five goals and 22 assists in 60 games this season for Worcester. He was signed by the Sharks last year as a free agent after a career at Western Michigan.
Tennyson, 22, played the 2008-09 season in Cedar Rapids, scoring four goals and 10 points in 57 games. He grew up in Pleasanton, Calif., and is the first player from the Sharks' junior program to graduate to the NHL Sharks.
