Now the Kernels begin a three game series at Bowling Green. The Hot Rods are the Midwest League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

THURSDAY AT 6:35 P.M.
CR: RHP Jairo Diaz (1-0, 3.09) vs. BG: LHP Ryan Carpenter (1-1, 5.25)
Diaz is coming off his best start in a Kernels uniform. This past Saturday he got the win over Quad Cities at Perfect Game Field. He went seven innings and allowed no runs on four hits. Carpenter will be making his third start and fourth appearance. He has went at least five innings in both starts. Last Saturday night at Lake County, he picked up the win in five innings of work. He allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out seven and walking none
FRIDAY AT 7:05 P.M.
CR: LHP Mike Johnson (0-1, 6.00) vs. BG: RHP Roberto Gomez (0-0, 5.40)
Johnson last started on Sunday afternoon vs. Quad Cities in Cedar Rapids. He took the loss, going four innings and allowing four runs on six hits. Gomez last started on Sunday at Lake County, going four innings and allowing four runs on seven hits.
SATURDAY AT 7:05 P.M.
CR: RHP Austin Wood (2-1, 2.57) vs. BG: RHP Jake Floethe (2-0, 0.56)
Wood dominated in his first two starts, wins at Wisconsin and vs. Clinton. He took the loss on Monday night at Peoria, going four innings and allowing three runs on five hits. Floethe has been strong in all three of his starts so far. He's only allowed one earned run through 16 innings of work. This season he has struck out 10 and walked one. He last pitched on Monday vs. Great Lakes. He went six innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits.
