CEDAR RAPIDS — Winger Justin Cole of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders has committed to play college hockey at American International in Massachusetts, the USHL club announced Friday.
Cole has seven goals and seven assists in 38 games this season for the Riders, who have home games this weekend against Dubuque (Friday night) and Waterloo (Saturday night). The Pennsylvania native played last season for Cedar Rapids and spent part of this season with the University of Denver, before deciding to transfer.
'Very happy for Justin and his family,' said RoughRiders Coach Mark Carlson. 'AIC will be a great fit both academically and athletically for Justin. Justin was very impressed with AIC and their staff during the recruiting process.'
'I chose AIC because it's a good location, and I feel a great place for me to grow as a hockey player and person.' said Cole.
