RoughRiders' win streak ends in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. - Matt Nelson scored a go-ahead power-play goal seven minutes into the third period to help lift the Omaha Lancers past the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, 5-3, Saturday night at Ralston Arena.
Tyler Vesel scored into an empty net with 56 seconds left for the final margin. Omaha (25-6-4) has the USHL's best standings point total of 54.
The RoughRiders saw their three-game win streak snapped despite a pair of power-play goals from Andrew Oglevie. The second of Oglevie's goals five minutes into the third period brought them into a 3-3 tie.
Corey Petrash also scored for Cedar Rapids (17-13-1, 35 points). Danny Tirone took the loss in net.
