RoughRiders rough up Muskegon, 5-1

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders scored a pair of power-play goals and thrashed the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Friday night, 5-1, before 2,848 fans at The Stable.
Five different guys had goals for C.R.: Stu Wilson, Michael Parks, Sam Warning, Cason Hohmann and Matt Hansen. The RoughRiders had 11 power plays, which led to a 42-33 shots on goal edge.
Brady Hjelle picked up the win in net, improving his record to 21-3-3. The Riders (22-5-4, 48 points) remain two points behind Green Bay for the best point total in the USHL and the lead in the Eastern Conference.
The teams play Saturday night in Green Bay. This was the first time in three tries this season Cedar Rapids has beaten Muskegon.
