RoughRiders' Curti commits to Yale

CEDAR RAPIDS - Defenseman Charlie Curti of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders has given a verbal commitment to play college hockey at Yale University.

Curti, 17, has three goals and 11 assists in 18 games as a first-year RoughRider. The Mound, Minn., resident has a plus-minus rating of plus-five.

He will join former RoughRiders Stu Wilson and Tommy Fallen at Yale. Those two helped the Bulldogs win an NCAA championship last season.

The RoughRiders play Sunday at Indiana.
