RoughRiders add goalie Hillegas to roster

Apr. 7, 2010 4:04 pm
Josh Hillegas of the St. Louis Junior Blues will serve as the emergency backup to goalie Troy Grosenick for tonight's Cedar Rapids RoughRiders' USHL playoff game against Indiana at The Stable.
The Riders had to find another goalie because Cody Campbell is suspended for Game 1 of the best-of-5 series after receiving a game misconduct penalty in Cedar Rapids' penultimate regular-season game last weekend at Youngstown. Forwards Stephen Collins and Nick Lappin also will sit out Game 1 for the same reason.
Campbell, Collins and Lappin were given gamers because they fought at the end of the second period.
Hillegas, 19, went 25-3-0 with seven shutouts and a 1.68 goals against average for the Junior Blues, who recently won the Tier III Junior A national championship. he is from Middleton, Wis., hometown of RoughRiders President/CEO Jeff Jauch.
