Rogers back to baseball broadcasting with Burlington Bees

BURLINGTON - He's back.
The Midwest League's Burlington Bees announced Thursday the hiring of John Rogers as their Director of Sales/Radio Broadcaster. Rogers was the beloved longtime radio broadcaster for the Cedar Rapids Kernels from 1996 through 2010.
"The Burlington Bees have established themselves as everyone's hometown team in Southeastern Iowa and Western Illinois," Rodgers said in a press release from the Bees. "I look forward to helping them continue to create the most fun and memorable entertainment experience for all those who visit Community Field in the upcoming years."
A phone message left for Rogers was not immediately returned.
