Riders' Hjelle commits to Ohio State

Nov. 3, 2010 3:07 pm
It didn't take long for Brady Hjelle to find another school. The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders goaltender has committed to play next season for Ohio State University, the team has announced.
This is the second stint with Cedar Rapids for the 20-year-old from International Falls, Minn. He played the 2007-08 season for the Riders, then moved on to Minnesota-Duluth, where he spent two seasons.
Unhappy there, he came back to town this season and has won five of his six starts, fashioning a 1.84 goals against average. He will have two seasons of eligibility at Ohio State.
Brady Hjelle stands poised to make the save in his team's 1-0 season-opening win at Waterloo.
