Riders' Brady commits to UNO

Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman Ian Brady has committed to play college hockey in a couple of years at Nebraska-Omaha, the RoughRiders announced Thursday.

Brady, 16, is from Lombard, Ill. He has five assists in 27 games this season for Cedar Rapids, with a plus-minus rating of plus-five.

Fellow Rider Jayson Megna also is a UNO commit. Former Rider Bryce Aneloski is a sophomore for the Mavericks.

The RoughRiders host Des Moines on Friday night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
