Mike Trout gets the call to the big leagues.

Former Cedar Rapids Kernel Mike Trout has been called up to the major league Angels and will be in uniform tonight against the Seattle Mariners in Anaheim.
Trout is only 19 years old and will become the youngest player in Major League Baseball.
He played for the Kernels last season, hitting .362 with 6 HR, 39 RBI, 19 2B, and 7 3B in only 81 games.
This season he was tearing up the Texas League with the Arkansas Travelers in Double-A with nearly double-digit numbers doubles in HR, 2B, 3B, and stolen bases.
