KGYM radio likely to broadcast Minnesota Twins games

Mar. 24, 2014 10:06 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS - KGYM radio in Cedar Rapids is expected to announce Tuesday it will carry Minnesota Twins baseball games this season.
Station personalities said Monday on the air and via social media there would be a "big" announcement at 3:55 p.m., between daily local programs "Gym Class" and "Afternoon Players Club."
The Twins, of course, are in their second season as parent club of the Cedar Rapids Kernels. They open their 2014 season Monday against the Chicago White Sox at Chicago.
KGYM has three frequencies: 1600 AM, 107.5 FM and 106.3 FM. It previously has carried White Sox games and is the home of Iowa State and Northern Iowa athletics, as well as ESPN Radio.
