The Cedar Rapids Kernels will have a new manager for the 2011 Midwest League season.
The Gazette has learned Bill Mosiello, who managed the Kernels to the playoffs in 2009 and 2010 will move up to Double-A Arkansas this coming season. Mosiello's Kernels won the first-half championship in the Midwest League‘s Western Division in 2010 and advanced to the second round of the MWL playoffs in 2009.
No word on who Mosiello's replacement in Cedar Rapids will be. The parent Los Angeles Angels are expected to announce all of their minor-league coaching staffs around Thanksgiving.
Bill Mosiello (14) talks with Angels minor league infield instructor Rob Picciolo during a game last season.
