Kernels rained out at Quad Cities

The Cedar Rapids Kernels had their Midwest League game against the Quad Cities River Bandits rained out Thursday night at Modern Woodmen Park. The teams will play a double-header (two seven-inning games) Friday afternoon beginning at 5.
Cedar Rapids has a 21-9 record and two-game lead on Quad Cities for first place in the MWL's Western Division. After Friday's double-header, the Kernels play three games at Beloit before finally returning home from a 12-game road trip, May 14 against Burlington.
