Kernels Postponed Again

CLINTON - A scheduled Midwest League game between Clinton and Cedar Rapids was postponed by the weather Tuesday night and will be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday starting at 5 p.m.
The Kernels return home Thursday for a three-game series with Quad Cities, followed by a day off Sunday and a three-game series against Kane County.
The club announced Tuesday that Jeremy Cruz, an infielder who played 69 games with the Kernels last season, has been assigned to the Kernels from extended spring training. Infielder Mitch Blackburn was promoted to Inland Empire of the California League.
