Kernels moves: Hurlbut activated, Arias released

The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced a pair of player moves prior to their game Sunday afternoon at Clinton.
Pitcher David Hurlbut has been activated from the disabled list and catcher Jhonatan Arias given his outright release by the Minnesota Twins organization.
Hurlbut went on the DL June 5 with a left side strain. He is 2-1 with five saves and a 3.60 earned run average in 16 appearances this season.
Arias played in 22 games for the Kernels, hitting .236 with four RBIs. He was in his seventh season in the Twins organization, originally signed as an international free agent from the Dominican Republic in 2007.
