The magic number for the Cedar Rapids Kernels clinching the Midwest League's Western Division continues to be 1.
The team's double-header Friday night against the Burlington Bees was rained out. Burlington led Game 1, 2-0, in the bottom of the third inning when severe weather hit, suspending the game.
It will be made up as part of a double-header Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Quad Cities is 2.5 games behind the Kernels (41-24) with the River Bandits playing Friday night at Peoria. If QC loses, Cedar Rapids wins the division.
Carlo Testa reached on a bunt single with one out in the second for Burlington, then Rene Oriental smoked a two-run home run to left. Garrett Richards was the starting pitcher for Cedar Rapids and Nick Wooley for Burlington.
