Kernels activate Lopez, Brannon demoted

The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced before their game Sunday afternoon at West Michigan that infielder-catcher-outfielder Roberto Lopez has been actviated from the disabled list. Lopez has been nagged for about a month with a sprained right wrist.
Outfielder Nolan Brannon has been sent to Rookie-level Orem to make room for Lopez. He joined the team last week but never got into a game.
Lopez is hitting .244 in 62 games, with 46 RBIs.
