We'll be interviewing a player a week and adding them to Gazette online. Decided to start, for no particular reason, with rookie forward Derek DeBlois.
And, yes, his last name is spelled with a capital 'B.' Seen it both capital and lower case on different Web sites.
DeBlois is from Rhode Island and has been a friend since childhood of Riders defenseman Mac Bennett. Both of them surf, actually, and are headed to the University of Michigan together to play hockey either next season or the season following.
DeBlois, pronounced "duh bloyce" has two goals and three assists in four games so far this season.
