Mitch Keller to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, Keaton Winn sent back to Triple-A

CEDAR RAPIDS — Here’s a look at area Iowans in the minors. These are players in affiliated professional baseball from Eastern Iowa and the University of Iowa.
All the following statistics are through Friday.
Nick Allgeyer (Iowa/Houston Astros) — Pitching for Triple-A Sugar Land (Pacific Coast League). Acquired in a trade earlier this season from Phillies organization, lefty is 3-3 with a 6.60 earned run average in 11 appearances for the Space Cowboys, including six starts.
Ben Beutel (Iowa/Chicago White Sox) — Southpaw reliever is with low-Class A Kannapolis (Carolina League) and throwing well. He has a 2-0 record and 0.42 ERA (1 run in 21 1/3 innings) in 13 appearances. His WHIP is 0.84, and he has 24 strikeouts. Those are great numbers.
Tyler Cropley (Iowa/Kansas City Royals) — Catcher has played in 17 games for Double-A Northwest Arkansas (Texas League). Hitting .263 in 73 at-bats, with a home run and eight RBIs.
Duncan Davitt (Iowa/Tampa Bay Rays) — Pitcher has made eight appearances since being promoted to high-Class A Bowling Green (South Atlantic League). Has a 1-0 record and 3.00 ERA. Has allowed only 14 hits in 21 innings and has 25 strikeouts.
Jack Dreyer (Johnston/Iowa/Los Angeles Dodgers) — Reliever has pitched in 26 games for high-A Great Lakes (Midwest League). Has a 3-0 record and 2.93 ERA. Has given up 21 hits in 30 2/3 innings, with 24 walks and 40 strikeouts.
Nick Gallagher (Iowa City West/Iowa/Chicago White Sox) — Recently activated from the injured list at Double-A Birmingham (Southern League). Has 0-2 record with a 7.61 ERA in 19 relief appearances. Has allowed just 21 hits with 31 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings.
Korry Howell (Kirkwood Community College/San Diego Padres) — Another guy who has returned after being on the IL. Center fielder rehabbed with six games in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League and then returned to Double-A San Antonio (Texas League), where he is hitting .194 in 20 games, with four RBIs and nine stolen bases.
Mitch Keller (Cedar Rapids Xavier/Pittsburgh Pirates) — On his way to Tuesday’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Seattle. Had a 9-4 record and 3.52 ERA going into a scheduled start Saturday night at Arizona. Has thrown 110 innings and given up 96 hits, with 125 strikeouts.
Austin Krob (Lisbon/San Diego Padres) — Lefty hurler has been promoted to high-A Fort Wayne of Midwest League, where he has made two starts, winning one, his first professional victory. Has given up three runs in 10 innings. Is 1-1 with a 2.40 ERA in 13 games overall this season, 12 starts.
Adam Mazur (Iowa/San Diego Padres) — Also pitching for Fort Wayne, righty starter picked up a win this week against West Michigan, allowing just one earned run in six innings. Has a 4-1 record and fine 2.02 ERA in 12 games, 11 starts. A good WHIP of 1.03.
Mason McCoy (Iowa/Seattle Mariners) — Infielder continues playing a most-days role for Triple-A Tacoma (Pacific Coast League). Hitting .242 in 78 games, with 10 homers, 47 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. Hitting just .111 so far in July.
Cole McDonald (New Hampton/Iowa/Houston Astros) — Four scoreless relief outings at high-A led to an early promotion to Double-A Corpus Christi, where he’s 1-3 with four saves and a 3.96 ERA in 20 games. Only 16 hits and 11 walks allowed in 25 innings, with 38 strikeouts.
Ian Moller (Dubuque Wahlert/Texas Rangers) — Young catcher is hitting .177 in 52 games for low-A Down East of the Carolina League. Has four homers, 21 RBIs and 38 walks.
Dylan Nedved (Iowa/San Diego Padres) — Pitcher is with low-A Lake Elsinore of California League. Has 3-4 record and 7.18 ERA in 21 relief appearances. Has thrown 26 1/3 innings, allowing 35 hits and striking out 28.
Ben Norman (Des Moines Roosevelt/Iowa/Chicago White Sox) — Outfielder continues to struggle offensively since early season promotion to Double-A Birmingham. Hitting .165 in 45 games, with three homers, 16 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.
A.J. Puk (Cedar Rapids Washington/Miami Marlins) — Lefty reliever is struggling a titch, giving up five runs over two innings in his last two appearances for the Marlins. Has a 4-3 record and 14 saves in 18 opportunities this season, with a 4.18 ERA in 29 appearances. It’s 28 hits allowed in 28 innings, with just four walks and 35 strikeouts.
Colin Rea (Cascade/Northern Iowa/Milwaukee Brewers) — Right-hander picked up a win in his most-recent start against Pittsburgh, giving up just five hits and a couple of runs in 6 2/3 innings. Is 5-4 overall with a 4.40 ERA in 13 appearances, 12 starts. Just 65 hits allowed in 75 2/3 innings.
Tommy Specht (Dubuque Wahlert/Texas Rangers) — The other Wahlert grad playing for the low-A Down East Wood Ducks, the outfielder is hitting .250 in 30 games, with a home run and 10 RBIs. Has also drawn 21 walks.
Levi Usher (Cedar Rapids Prairie/Kansas City Royals) — Outfielder is hitting .140 in 47 games for low-A Columbia of the Carolina League. Has six doubles, three triples, a home run and 10 RBIs.
Connor Van Scoyoc (Cedar Rapids Jefferson/Colorado Rockies) — Right-handed pitcher was acquired by the Rockies in a recent trade that sent big league infielder Mike Moustakas to the Los Angeles Angels. Remained in the high-A Northwest League and in the state of Washington, going from Tri-City to Spokane, where he is 1-1 with a 2.92 ERA in two starts.
Trenton Wallace (Iowa/Toronto Blue Jays) — Pitcher remains on the seven-day Injured List at Double-A New Hampshire (Eastern League), where he had recently been promoted. Made two starts for the Fisher Cats, losing one, giving up 11 hits and eight runs (six earned) in 8 1/3 innings.
Peyton Williams (Iowa/Toronto Blue Jays) — First baseman also remains on the IL, at high-Class A Vancouver (Northwest League), where he had recently been promoted. Hit .176 in nine games for the Canadians, with two homers and five RBIs.
Keaton Winn (Pekin/Iowa Western Community College/San Francisco Giants) — Sent back to Triple-A Sacramento of the Pacific Coast League after a five-game run in the bigs, where the righty pitcher went 0-2 with a save and 4.02 ERA. In 22 innings, allowed just 18 hits and five walks, with 14 strikeouts.
