Garrett Richards is set to make his MLB debut tonight, 376th in Cedar Rapids baseball history

Garrett Richards (2010) is set to become the 376th player to play professional baseball in Cedar Rapids and appear in a major league game as he takes the mound for his first major league start against the New York Yankees tonight. The game will be televised on ESPN's Wednesday night baseball starting at 6:05 CST.
Garrett Richards has gone 12-2 with a 3.06 ERA while striking out 100 in 141 innings of work for Arkansas this season. Richards posted a 8-4 record with a 3.41 ERA playing for the 2010 Cedar Rapids Kernels. He struck out 108 batters in 108 1/3 innings of work before a late season promotion.
Richards will be the 37th former Kernels player to play in a MLB game this season. Here is the list of the former Kernels in the majors thus far in 2011:
