Cedar Rapids RoughRiders open 2018-19 schedule on the road

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will begin the 2018-19 United States Hockey League season with road games at Chicago and Dubuque in early October, it was announced by the club Friday.
The regular season begins Friday, Oct. 5 at Chicago against the Steel. The RoughRiders play the following night at Dubuque against the Fighting Saints.
The home opener at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena is Saturday, Oct. 13 against the Sioux City Musketeers. The Riders have a stretch of eight of nine games on the road between mid-November and early December.
Contrarily, they will have six straight home games from mid-December to mid-January.
