CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders announced Wednesday they have traded forward Matt Gosiewski to the Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League in exchange for forward Tanner Tweeten.
Gosiewski was in his second season with the Riders but was pointless in five games. He was one of five players head coach/general manager Mark Carlson suspended indefinitely last week for a violation of team rules.
Two others, forwards Will Garin and Nick Bowman, were traded earlier this week to Sioux Falls of the USHL.
Tweeten, 19, is from East Grand Forks, Minn. He had four goals and nine points in 14 games for the Magicians.
He played two games last season for the Bloomington Thunder of the USHL.
The RoughRiders (0-8-1) play this weekend at Chicago (Friday night) and Sioux City (Saturday night).
