ADA celebrates 20th anniversary
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the ADA hosted a picnic on Saturday afternoon at the Veterans Memorial Tennis Center. Hotdogs and snacks were provided by Linnhaven Inc. Following the picnic, the ADA held a Unity March into Veterans Memorial Stadium to watch the Kernels take on the Lake County Captains. Pre-game celebrations included a video from Senator Tom Harkin, first pitches, and a reading of a proclamation. A silent auction and 50/50 raffle were held during the game and raised over $700 for the ADA.
