4 RoughRiders picked for NHL Top Prospects Game

CEDAR RAPIDS - Four members of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have been selected to participate in the United States Hockey League's 2016 NHL Top Prospects Game, it was announced Tuesday.
The game is Tuesday, Jan. 12 in Omaha, Neb.
The Riders taking part are forwards Ross Colton, Matt Filipe, Sam Sternschein and Matt Gosiewski. Colton is a University of Vermont commit, Filipe a Northeastern commit, Sternschein a Cornell commit and Gosiewski a Harvard commit.
Former Riders defenseman Derek Daschke also will play in the game.
Players were selected via cooperation of National Hockey League general managers, USHL general managers and NHL Central Scouting. All are eligible for this summer's NHL Draft.
