This is our 94-year-old father, David Mitchell, who is a World War II veteran. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Varsity as a member of the 17th Airborne Division. For his service he was awarded three Bronze Stars,
Initial Assault Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal, and the one that he is most proud of, the
Combat Infantryman Badge. His father fought in World War I as a member of the Black Watch, and oldest son Bill Mitchell fought in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine. Our heartfelt thanks to all
Veterans for their service.
