Girls’ basketball: Metro/Iowa City is guaranteed two 5A/4A state berths, could get as many as three more. West-Prairie and City-Liberty matchups highlight Tuesday’s big-school regional finals.
The Iowa High School Athletic Association dropped its weekly boys’ basketball rankings Monday, as well as all postseason brackets for Class 3A and 4A. Top substate seeds belong to Decorah in 3A and Linn-Mar and Cedar Rapids Kennedy in 4A. Linn-Mar moved up to No. 2 in this week’s 4A poll.
Wolves rally from 16 points down to 19-point margin to win 65-46 over Mustangs
Mustangs defeated the Wolves, 67-58 for Wamac East: 5-0.
The Marion boys’ basketball team trailed Mount Vernon by 16 points late in the first half Tuesday night. Then the Wolves completely turned everything around, eventually going on to a 65-46 win.
