Here are five storylines to look for in Eastern Iowa small college football

Luther announced Tuesday that it will move from the American Rivers Conference to Midwest Conference for the 2026-27 academic year.

The American Rivers Conference baseball tournament has been held at Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids since 2004. The plan is to keep it here but use Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo for seasons a scheduling conflict occurs with the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

Coe is the defending American Rivers Confernce baseball tournament champions. The Kohawks are the No. 2 seed in what promises to be a highly competitive tournament this season.

The D-III tournament includes the American Rivers Conference programs and Cornell, which is hosted by Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. Upper Iowa is the lone D-II program in the state and will compete at Indianapolis, Ind.

American Rivers Conference teams and Cornell will be part of the 18-team field at the NCAA Division III Region VI men’s wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday at Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids.

The NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships will return to Cedar Rapids and Alliant Energy PowerHouse in 2027. Upper Iowa will be the host school for the national meet, which was last held here in 2023.
