The following is radio traffic from Bellevue and Jackson County officials after Sunday's horse stampede during Bellevue's Heritage Days parade.
A total of 25 people were injured in the stampede, including Janet Steines, 60, who died Sunday when the horses hitched to the wagon she was riding bolted toward the end of the parade. 24 other people were injured.
Police said the horses were spooked after they rubbed heads and the bridle fell off one of them. The animals went on a rampage over six blocks, plowing through spectators and children stooping to snatch up candy that had been tossed along the parade route.
The audio of Sunday's incident has been verified as accurate by Jackson County and Bellevue officials.
