A band instructor and girls' golf coach faces a felony charge after he was arrested for sexual exploitation by a school employee late this morning.
Andrew Kenneth Buck, 27, of Anamosa, turned himself in to Anamosa Police at around 11:30 a.m. and was released later in the afternoon on a $7,500 bond. Officials could not say when Buck would appear in court.
Anamosa Police Sgt. Amy Ford said that the Jones County Attorney alleges that between last October and this January, Buck engaged in a pattern of sexual conduct on three occasions with an 18-year-old female student at Anamosa High School.
Buck is the band instructor at West Middle School and coaches the high school's girls golf team and has been on paid administrative lead for the past week, said Anamosa Superintendent Dale Monroe.
Sexual exploitation by a school employee is a class D felony charge.
Other details about the investigation or Buck's history with Anamosa Public Schools were unavailable.
