The induction will be part of the 10
th
annual Hall of Fame Dinner, which is Iowa Democrats' second-largest gathering of the year for Iowa Democrats. Only the Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner in the fall draws a larger crowd.
"I can't think of a better way to celebrate the 10
th
anniversary of the Hall of Fame than by honoring the legacy of the Vilsack-Pederson administration," said Michael Kiernan, party chairman.
"Democrats in Iowa have enjoyed tremendous success in the past few election cycles. That success was built on the foundation that was created by Tom and Christie Vilsack and Sally Pederson during the historic 1998 election."
The dinner will mark the first time Vilsack, who served two terms as governor, has returned to Iowa to speak since beginning his service in the Obama administration.
