Vander Plaats to campaign in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Vander Plaats will make stops in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City next week as well as Waterloo, Marshalltown, Fort Madison, Burlington, Davenport, Johnston, Elma, West Des Moines, Iowa Falls, Randalia and Monroe.

Vander Plaats, one of three Republicans seeking their party's nomination for governor, will be in Cedar Rapids May 17 for a house party at 5:15 p.m. at the home of his Linn County campaign chairman, Peter Teahen, 4100 Wyndham Dr. NE.

May 18, he'll be at the Hamburg Inn, 214 N. Linn St., Iowa City from 8 to 9 a.m.

He'll be back in Cedar Rapids May 21 at 6:30 p.m. for the Linn County Republican Women's meeting at Elmcrest Country Club, 1 Zach Johnson Blvd.
