Tax credit review public meetings scheduled

A panel of executive branch officials will begin a review of state tax credits with a public meeting at 9 a.m. Dec. 15 in Room 159 D and E, Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education, 7725 Kirkwood Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids.
After questions were raised about the state film tax credit, Gov. Chet Culver asked the directors of the six state agencies that oversee the tax credit programs to review those programs and submit a report addressing oversight, accountability, transparency, public reporting and cost-benefit as well as which programs should be continued, curtailed or eliminated. Department of Management Director Dick Oshlo is chairing the panel.
