CEDAR RAPIDS — Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell will deliver her second State of the City address next week outlining the 2022 accomplishments and 2023 goals of Iowa’s second-largest city.
The League of Women Voters of Linn County is hosting the 33rd State of the City luncheon and presentation on Tuesday, May 2, at the Cedar Rapids DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Convention Center.
Tickets may be purchased online at the League website, https://www.lwvlinncounty.org/lwvlc-cedar-rapids-soc. The deadline to register and buy tickets is 5 p.m. Thursday.
The address also will be available for viewing online after the speech at lwvlinncounty.org/lwvlc-cr-soc-event.
The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the mayor’s presentation starting at noon. There is a charge for the meal, but the presentation is free and open to the public in reserved seating.
Questions will be taken from the audience at the end of the presentation.
Luncheon reservations are $45 per person and $450 for a reserved table. Confirmation will be sent by email, so an email address should be included when reservations are made at the League’s website. Online processing fees apply.
Funds raised by the luncheon help cover the cost of the League’s nonpartisan voter-education materials and forums.
