Phased reopening for Marion city facilities planned for June
The city announced its facilities reopening Wednesday

MARION — Marion is planning a phased reopening of its facilities over the next month, after being closed since the start of the pandemic.
Starting June 7, Marion City Hall and other facilities will be open to the public on Mondays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a city news release.
Face masks will be required at all facilities, and social distancing and other safety protocols will be in place, the release said.
Facilities will be fully open to the public and operating during normal business hours July 6.
In-person City Council meetings will resume in July, the release said.
Facilities opening Mondays and Fridays starting June 7:
— Marion City Hall, 1225 Sixth Ave.
— Marion Fire Station No. 2, 3933 Katz Dr.
— Marion Police Headquarters, 6315 Highway 151
Facilities resuming normal business hours starting June 7 (Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.)
— Lowe Park Arts and Environment Center, 4500 N. 10th St.
— Thomas Park Administrative and Operations Facility, 343 Marion Blvd.
— Marion Public Services Facility, 195 35th St.
Facilities already open to public
— Marion Public Library Uptown location, 1064 Seventh Ave.
— Marion Public Library Tech Station, 5650 Kacena Ave.
Additionally, residents still can conduct any city business online or by phone or email.
