New appeals court judge named

DES MOINES – Gov. Chet Culver has named Judge David Danilson of Boone to the Iowa Court of Appeals.
Danilson currently serves as a district judge in Iowa's 2
nd
Judicial District. Danilson earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in 1976 and his law degree from Creighton Law School in 1979.
Danilson was a lawyer in private practice before being appointed a district associate judge in 1987. Then-governor Terry Branstad appointed Danilson as a district judge in 1997.
Danilson replaces John Miller, who retired from the court of appeals this year.
