The City of Mount Vernon is holding a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to introduce a wayfinding signage study to focus on drawing visitors to downtown Mount Vernon from the new Highway 30 interchange.
The study will consider and develop a new informational and directional signage system for Mount Vernon, according to a news release from the city. The study may also recommend markers, gateways and other wayfinding elements to complement the overall signage system.
The meeting will be held in the meeting room at the Mt. Vernon-Lisbon Police Department, 380 Old Lincoln Highway in Mount Vernon.
Members of the public are invited to attend these meetings and will be provided with an opportunity to engage and provide input on this study.
