Krause: Grassley ‘enemy of jobs’

Bob Krause, Democratic U. S. Senate hopeful, called Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley “an enemy of jobs for Iowans” because he criticized a proposal to transfer prisoners from Guantanamo to a maximum security prison in western Illinois.
Grassley, Krause said, would deny Clinton, which is just 12 miles from the maximum security prison at Thomson, Ill., and has an unemployment rate of 7.7 percent, a share of the 3,000 jobs and $1 billion-a-year economic boost expected from opening the prison.
