Iowa Sierra Club endorses Thicke

The Iowa Chapter of the Sierra Club has endorsed of Democrat Francis Thicke of Fairfield for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture.
Thicke is challenging first-term Republican Bill Northey of Spirit Lake.
Thicke has shown during his time on the Environmental Protection Commission and in his own farming practice that he is committed to sustainable agriculture and family farms according to Charles Winterwood, the chapter's political committee chairman.
Along with the endorsement, the Sierra Club will lend its volunteer strength to Thicke's campaign.
