GOP giving away tickets to UI-ISU football game

Aug. 13, 2009 11:08 am
To celebrate the opening of the Iowa State Fair, the Republican Party of Iowa is launching a new text messaging tool to connect Iowa Republicans to the State Party through their cell phones.
One person who signs up for the GOP text during the fair will win tickets to this season's Iowa-Iowa State football game. To enter, text the word “Hawkeyes” or “Cyclones” to 41513 and you will be eligible. Iowans can sign-up through our Web site, www.iowagop.org. A winner will be announced the week after the fair.
Iowans are invited to visit the GOP booth, which will be in its traditional location along the north wall of the air-conditioned Varied Industries Building and will feature a multi-media display as well as traditional printed materials from our candidates, officeholders and state party.
