GoDaddy.com founder to host Gettemy fundraiser

GoDaddy.com CEO and founder Bob Parsons, a former Cedar Rapids resident, plans to attend a fundraiser for Rob Gettemy at the Cedar Rapids Marriott May 29.
Gettemy is a Republican candidate for Congress in Iowa's 2nd District and worked at Parsons Technology as the vice-president of Sales and Marketing, before starting three other business of his own, most recently an Internet-based business with his family, www.1M4JC.com
Parsons' GoDaddy.com has offices in Cedar Rapids and is the world's largest Web host provider and domain name registrar. His previous company, Parsons Technology, was started and operated in Cedar Rapids until it was purchased by Intuit. Parsons, a war veteran, maintains his Iowa ties and even jumped in to donate money to help Iowa flood victims in 2008.
Gettemy is an entrepreneur who teaches entrepreneurship at the Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center of the Tippie School of Business at the University of Iowa.
