Gingrich to visit Cedar Rapids May 26

Apr. 23, 2010 4:11 pm
Iowa House Republican Leader Kraig Paulsen of Hiawatha and state GOP Chairman Matt Strawn will host a May 26 fundraiser in Cedar Rapids featuring Newt Gingrich as a special guest.
Later, the former U.S. House speaker will headline another fundraiser in Polk County.
For $500, Republicans can meet with Gingrich, who has not ruled out a 2012 presidential run, for a private “issues and ideas” roundtable discussion. For $1,000, donors can get an autographed copy of Gingrich's latest book.
Gingrich's return to the first-in-the-nation caucus state adds fuel to rumors he will seek the presidency in 2012. Gingrich has said he'll make a decision early next year.
