Early voting has started in Cedar Rapids council runoff race

Early voting in the Dec. 3 runoff election for two at-large Cedar Rapids City Council seats has begun.
Voters can vote for two of four candidates in the race. The candidates are incumbent Chuck Swore, Carletta Knox-Seymour, Ralph Russell and Susie Weinacht.
Early voters can vote at the Linn County Auditor's Office in the Linn County Public Service Center, 935 Second St. SW, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Voters also can request an absentee ballot by phone at 892-5118 or by mail or by downloading an absentee ballot at https://sites.google.com/site/linnelectionnow/forms-quick-link-2.
The last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed is Nov. 27; and the last day to vote at the Auditor's Office is Dec. 2. The office is closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.
