Democratic Senate candidates agree to May 27 forum in Cedar Rapids

Democratic U.S. Senate candidates have agreed to participate in a forum hosted by IowaPolitics.com at 7:30 p.m. May 27 at Ballantyne Auditorium at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
The three Democrats seeking the nomination to face Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, Roxanne Conlin of Des Moines, Tom Fiegen of Clarence and Bob Krause of Fairfield, will participate in the forum.
It is part of the “Cookies and Conversation” series presented by IowaPolitics.com and Mediacom. The Cedar Rapids Gazette and the League of Women Voters of Johnson County are partners in the event.
IowaPolitics.com Des Moines Bureau Chief Lynn Campbell and Cedar Rapids Gazette columnist Todd Dorman will moderate the program and questions will be accepted from audience members. The event will be broadcast on the Mediacom Connections channel (MC22) statewide and will be available for On Demand viewing on Mediacom Channel 1.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and taping of the show will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
